NSW: Opposition calls for overhaul of triple-0 emergency calls=2
A Telstra spokesman denied Mr Debnam's claim that the system was inadequate.
"We're extremely proud of our operators and the way that we run it," he said.
He said while Telstra operators initially received all triple-0 calls, they immediatelydirected them to the requested emergency service.
A spokesman for the Australian Communications Authority said the triple-0 system wasconstantly monitored to ensure the highest standards.
